ELTE is the oldest and the largest university of arts and sciences in Hungary. The Faculty of Science of ELTE is made up of 56 departments divided into nine institutes. The university hosts more than 200 EU projects and has wide experiences in exploiting results of R&D through its consultation activity towards government agencies and institutes, its chain of laboratory schools and wide range of in-service training programmes. The Centre for Multimedia and Educational Technology / affiliated UNESCO Chair for ICT in Education (MULTIPED) is based at the Faculty of Sciences. It serves all teacher-training faculties of the Eötvös University with courses on Educational Technology and ICT in Education. It runs the ICT in Education Programme of the PhD School of Education, and serves as a national research centre and develops educational software. Units of MULTIPED are ICT Training and Research Unit, Unit for Multimedia Development, and Microsoft Teacher Training Laboratory. Ongoing projects are Promoting Equity Through ICT in Education, EPICT, NEMED, and Learning Gateway.

ELTE is member of the research team of WP 9, and will also take part in the training activities  in WP 12. Activities focus on the development and testing of authentic teacher training methods in conjunction with a small enterprise using KP-Lab technology. Evaluation of collaborative software solutions developed by LP-Lab consortium for use  in pre- and in-service teacher education also constitute part of our duties.
